What is PRP KIT?

Autologous Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy was recognized as a new medical technology in Korea in September 2022. As a preliminary step to stem cell treatments, this innovative medical technology uses the patient's own blood to harness growth factors for treating various conditions. The medical device involved is designed to concentrate and extract platelets from the blood, focusing specifically on platelet concentration.

Concentrated platelets are enriched with growth factors such as TGF-β, EGF, VEGF, and immune substances like cytokines, at levels 3 to 5 times higher than normal. When injected into the affected area, they strengthen tissues and cells while promoting vascular regeneration. Globally, this treatment is already being used in various fields, including pain management, orthopedics, plastic surgery, and ophthalmology. Recently in Korea, PRP therapy has shown success in treating infertility, leading to its increasing application across diverse medical fields and the rapid growth of the market.

The existing products are standardized in sizes of 10ml, 20ml, and 40ml, and doctors must choose and purchase the appropriate size based on the patient's condition or the treatment area.
